Neridah Stockley’s works are about the physicality of paint, painting and learning to see. Her approach is to physically engage the subject to place herself in the landscape and work plein air to resolve the problems of light, colour and form with paint. it is through this rigorous process that magic is created.
Neridah Stockley trained at the National Art School in Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Painting major in 2001. Neridah lived in Central Australia before moving to the northeast coast of Lutruwita (Tasmania) on Paredareme country.
Stockley is represented in national and international collections including: Artbank, The Araluen Collection, Newcastle Art Gallery, City of Fremantle Collection, Kerry Stokes Collection, Macquarie Group, Charles Darwin University Collection, and Parliament House, Canberra.
